More Highlighting Options Added

I’ve added more upgrade highlighting options. You can now highlight all upgrades that cost a specific amount of a resource. You can show all upgrades that cost 1,000,000 gold or all upgrades that cost 20,000 dark elixir, for example.

This new highlighting feature works the same as the previous highlight by upgrade time feature. Tabs that contain matching upgrades will be shown in purple, and matching upgrades will be highlighted with red boxes in the individual tabs.

A more robust query tool for sorting upgrades on various criteria is in the works.

100,000 Hits on the Upgrades Tracker

We have had more than 100,000 hits on the Upgrades Tracker website by logged in users.  Thank you for joining us and thank you for all of the great feedback you have left us.

We are planning on rolling out some premium features in the next week that will only be available to those users who have made a $10 (Canadian) donation.  We would like to say thank you to the users who have dropped us a small donation to keep us motivated.  The first feature that will be available this way is the ability to have more than one village with a simple drop down to switch between villages, rather than logging in with a different set of credentials.

Builder and Laboratory Tracking Added

Builder and Laboratory Tracking

Builder and Laboratory Tracking

The Upgrades Tracker now has builder and laboratory timer support.  Instead of just hitting the “plus” button to move up to the new level, you can now click on the Builder or Laboratory buttons to add a timer that will countdown for you and increase the level of the item when the item is actually finished upgrading in your village.

The timer will display under the Upgrade Costs column, and the Builder or Laboratory button will change color to indicate that an upgrade is in progress.  When you start an upgrade, the timer will default to the full amount of time to complete the upgrade, which is great if you go to the website immediately after you actually start the upgrade.

For most of us, who aren’t quite that fast, you can also manually specify the time remaining in the upgrade using the days, hours and minutes format that the game itself shows you in your village.  You can also update this timer at any time, if you find you were off by a few minutes once the timer gets down to less than a day.

Use the button at the top of the side bar to log-in or register for the Upgrades Tracker, or read more about the Upgrades Tracker.

Major User Interface Changes…

New Levels User Interface Buttons

New Levels User Interface Buttons

The radio buttons for setting upgrade levels are gone!  Check out the new and improved plus (+) and minus (-) buttons for raising or lowering the level of each Clash item.  Continue to press the “Update” button at the bottom to save your changes.  In the near future the Update button will be gone and updates will be autosaved.  This will mean less time clicking and more time for playing Clash of Clans.

Another cool feature recently added to the Update Tracker is the image changes now match the level of the item that you have just set.  For example, if you are upgrading your Gold Mines to Level 10, a level 10 Gold Mine image will appear for a quick view.

We appreciate your feedback and make changes according to our user’s feedback.  Give us a shout if there is a particular feature that you think would make the Upgrades Tracker better.  Enjoy and tell your friends to come and check out our site.  Clash On everyone…

Major Improvements in Upgrades Tracker Totals…

DarkBarracks+GolemI was not calculating the cost to upgrade items that were missing prerequisites.  For example, at Town Hall 7, I was not adding in the cost to upgrade Golems to Level 2 until you had upgraded your Dark Barracks to Level 4.  This is now fixed so these resource and time costs are added in to the totals required to max out your town hall.

I haven’t started working on the Profile page, but is there any appetite for setting goals for what you want to achieve before upgrading the town hall?  I know some people don’t like maxing out their mines and collectors, for example, so such a feature would allow you to specify that you only want mines and collectors to go to Level 6, for example, and the calculations for total resources and times would be adjusted accordingly.

Added missing graphic icons

X-Bow Level 1

X-Bow Level 1

I’ve added in the last few missing graphic icons: Witch, X-Bow, Inferno Tower, and all of the Wall icons. I think I have them all now, but if you see anything missing, please let me know either with a comment here, or through the feedback icon on the calculator.

The images themselves, in case you hadn’t noticed, will show the highest level of the item that you have currently achieved in your village.

Graphic Icons Added to Upgrade Tracker

500px-Troop-BarbarianI’ve added pretty graphic icons to the buildings, troops and spells in the Calculator.  Makes it easier to visually find the item you are looking for.

Coming up next, I am working on a replacement for the long list of radio buttons for setting upgrade levels which is visually difficult to distinguish, and cumbersome on touch devices.  The new interface will use plus and minus buttons to set the level for each item in your village.

Update:  My town hall 8 village level is showing.  I left off the images for witches, x-bows, and inferno towers.  Coming soon!
